What is real and true in the age of AI?
Quite a lot, as it turns out. There are many days where I feel like we're all living in a dystopian film. And on others, when I look around me, I feel hopeful for humanity. There is still so much that isn't manipulated and hardened by machines and that we need to celebrate, like:
- The aliveness of our planet, her constant movement in space-time
- A parent's love and responsibility for his or her children
- The quiet strength of our trees
- Beauty of flora, resilience of weeds
- The comfort of sitting in silence with someone you love
- The tactile satisfaction of putting ink on paper
- Our laughter, our joy, our ennui and our grief
- Our sense of wonder and curiosity
- Our pets' unconditional love for us
- Miracle of every new life on earth
- Faith and the belief in a greater order
- The human drive to triumph over all odds
What else can we add to the list?
